To serve the twenty-first century Church by providing unmatched opportunities for pastors and ministry leaders to equip and prepare their members and communities for Kingdom service in any walk of life.

The Tampa Bay Training Center wants to cover the world with the Word of God to show all people their destiny. We believe God has mandated this in His Bible and that His Spirit-filled and submitted disciples must be “equipped” to carry out this command, according to Matthew 28:18-20 and II Timothy 2:15.

Education has its place at TBST

Tampa Bay School of Theology and Training Center (TBST) is committed to the cause of education in the kingdom of Christ and is part of the overall cause of missions and evangelism that our church is committed to. An adequate system of Christian schools is necessary to a complete spiritual program for Christ’s people.

The Training Center maintains a proper balance between academic freedom and academic responsibility. Our goal is to not only “train up” and “equip” saints of God in the academics but to develop a sense of spiritual “heart” where students feel a total reliance upon the Holy Spirit of God and to respond to His urgings. A sensitive student is a Christian student embracing God’s heart and yet being prepared “instant in season…” to give a testimony to those inquiring of the Faith and possessing the knowledge of the Word which the Holy Spirit can recall when in the moment of need.

Missions and Evangelism

It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. The new birth of man’s spirit by God’s Holy Spirit means the birth of love for others. Missionary efforts on the part of all rest thus upon a spiritual necessity of the regenerate life, and is expressly and repeatedly commanded in the teachings of Christ. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by personal effort and by all other methods in harmony with the gospel of Christ.

The Training Center is committed to the development of spiritual skills which, when applied by the student as he/she functions under the anointing of God, can expect the work of the ministry of the Lord Jesus to come forth. Paul ministered in the power and anointing of God and represents to all students how a missionary and evangelistic heart is supposed to operate. We make every effort as a faculty and staff to support the efforts and desires of “called” students to carry on that same thrust as we remain open to God’s leading.

Opportunities abound at TBSOT to work the work of the ministry. Progressing students will be assigned teaching and evangelistic places to exercise their gifts. All students are invited to participate in numerous local evangelistic outreaches. We offer short term mission trips to many third world countries and a month-long Discipleship Training School (DTS) which usually takes place in the summer.

TBSOT TRAINING CENTER PURPOSE:

THIS CHRISTIAN TRAINING CENTER has been established to provide Christian men and women a training program that will equip them for a position of responsibility and leadership in Christian service. The emphasis is placed on knowing the Word, Work, Will, and Ways of God.

At our TRAINING CENTER you will:
